CATHEDRAL STRONG
Sharing God’s Abundance
St. Matthew’s Episcopal Cathedral
Laramie, Wyoming
November 1, 2025
Dear Cathedral Family,
Welcome to our 2026 Stewardship Campaign!
CATHEDRAL STRONG
Sharing God’s Abundance
It is a joy to walk alongside you as a strong community in this beautiful environment of cathedral square in Laramie where we continue to share God’s abundance. Your Time, Talent & Treasure pledges have driven this mission here for over 150 years. It is because of God working through all of us that blessings continue to abound in the lives of people here every day. New ministries sprout up and old ones deepen our roots. Ministry with children through Cathedral Kids continues to thrive, along with Canterbury Fellowship. This year we confirmed twelve people, had one reaffirmation of faith, and had multiple baptisms throughout the year! Music abounds with incredible direction and guidance with our musicians under the direction of Dr. O’Neil Jones. New Contemplative Prayer has begun during the week. The cathedral sanctuary is now open six days a week. Both Yoga and Tai Chi at the Cathedral bring in people particularly from the community. The Altar Guild, Worship and Vision Planning Teams, Jr. Warden Workgroup, St. Alban’s Chapel, Hospitality, Laramie Soup Kitchen, Clothing Cottage, Prayers and Squares, the list goes on and on of good solid work that continues here as we share God’s love within our city and world.
Your financial pledges and our investment income have been the main driver for our revenue. We are also blessed to have another year of diocesan support of $115,000. Thank you to the Diocese of Wyoming!! While we are celebrating that financial support, they have decreased the additional $25,000 from past years. We encourage you to pray about and consider the possibility of raising your pledges next year to help defray that change.
Please join us for Stewardship Sunday on November 16, at the 10 a.m. worship service followed by a catered brunch. We will be asking you to bring your pledge cards and present it at the altar for a blessing during the worship service.
Again, it is a joy to walk alongside you here at St. Matthew’s Cathedral as we continue sharing God’s abundance!
Faithfully,
Stewardship Committee
