Bread of the Week: KALAMATA OLIVE FRENCH
|
Kalamata Olive French has been with us since the beginning. This humble bread offers a divine crust with amazing airiness and texture. It makes a delicious sandwich and is one of our more popular breads for dipping in oil. I love the burst of flavor when biting into a kalamata olive. Yum - I can't wait to take some home!
Kalamata Olive French is normally made on Monday and Thursday and is available for $3.99. This week we will have it every day at a sale price of $3.29!
As always, we mix our breads from scratch, shape them by hand, and bake them in our big German oven, right here in our bakery on Hardin Street. We bake only with unbleached and unbromated flour and never use any additives or preservatives. Come and taste.

Baker's Choice

Our constant experimentation with new breads has created a surplus of recipes that we cannot possibly make on a weekly basis. Our solution to this problem is to offer daily specials, or as we call them, "Baker's Choice breads." These breads change from week to week. To see our regular bread schedule, click here. For the week of May 28th through June 2nd the special breads will be as follows:
Monday: Mushroom Garlic Ciabatta - An old favorite; roasted garlic and mushrooms in a light, airy Italian dough.
Tuesday: Sun-Dried Tomato Ciabatta - Parmesan cheese and sun-dried tomatoes swirled into our Ciabatta dough.
Wednesday: Blueberry Brioche - Sweet, dried blueberries speckled throughout a rich, buttery dough.
Thursday: Kugelhopf - Buttery, milky dessert dough filled with rum and raisins.
