Thank you!

We want to give a big shout-out to Brenda J. who donated a microwave to Cat Care Society and to Joan S. who contributed a much needed washing machine. You gals rock!
Looking to Adopt?

Yes, it is definitely kitten season and we are adopting out many little ones, but still have more youngsters of all ages in the shelter. Kittens are not on the website, so if you are interested in adopting a kitten, please fill out the "Meet Your Match" and the "Application" just as we require for any adoption. One of our staff will call you to set up an appointment.

If you are looking for a more mature and settled cat, we have a number of adults and seniors who would be loving and playful companions, and who want a forever home more than anything!
Paws on the Green Golf Tournament
Friday, September 11th
Our 2020 Paws On The Green Charity Golf Tournament is less than two months away. The event will be held on Friday, September 11th, at the Evergreen Golf Course. We would love to have a great turnout of golfers, and we need more sponsors as well.
A continental breakfast and a hot lunch are included for all. The shotgun start is scheduled for 8am depending on where the herd of elk is at that time! They love the green.

All proceeds will benefit the cats, and it should be a great fall day on the links. Check out the available sponsorships here. Please register to golf or sponsor at this link: Register .
Paws on the Green
Golfer Scholarship Fund
We recently learned about several musicians who play in the Colorado Symphony

and who are also Cat Care Society supporters. These dedicated people have participated in Paws on the Green Golf tournaments in the past and would like to join in again this year. Due to the virus, the symphony is shut down, and the players are not able to perform. CCS would love to have them take part in this year's tournament, so we have created a golf scholarship fund to assist the musicians for our event.

The fund will also be used to assist some of our dedicated CCS volunteers who would like to participate in the golf tournament.

We are asking for your support in donating to this fund. This will benefit our cats as well...the more players and sponsors we have, the more successful our event will be!
To contribute to the Golf Scholarship Fund, please click here , and in the registration area, select the desired fee for "Scholarship Fund". We need at least $1000 to help these devoted and talented people participate in our event. As always, we thank you for your support!

Adoption News

Adoptions this summer have been wonderful! June was an awesome month for both adoptions and intakes. We took in 70 cats that needed care...and 53 of them were kittens. We found homes last month for 31 adult cats and 21 kittens!

July has been very busy too! So far we have adopted out 19 kittens, 7 adults, and 4 seniors. Lots of appointments for upcoming adoptions have been set up, and we also have 12 cats currently in homes under the "Foster to Adopt" program.
Four Lucky Senior Cats
A very special adoption story is taking place right now. Four senior cats (18-22 years) came to CCS from a caretaker who was looking after them as their owner had passed away. The four furry friends were living with her at a lovely wooded, secluded sanctuary which had once been home to injured wildlife such as bears, mountain lions, and deer. Their owner was one of the founding members of the North American Wildlife Federation. Many animals had been saved and brought there to heal over the years. The property was sold after the owner died, and the cats had to be re-homed. These four buddies are now in a wonderful home under our "Foster to Adopt" program, and will be officially adopted in August to spend the rest of their lives together in a loving family. We're so happy for Missy, Shadow, Spook, and Oreo II!
Santa Paws 2020

The annual Christmas Santa Paws Festival will be held in December, 2020. We are restructuring this event and have determined that for the health and safety of the general public and the cats at our shelter, we are eliminating the bazaar section. We will no longer sell items in the shelter hallway as we have done in the past. Therefore, we are no longer accepting used donated items for this event. We appreciate your understanding!
The annual Bake Sale, raffle baskets, and hand crafted items made by our many supporters, and other activities will be featured at the festival. If you are a crafter and wish to donate handmade items, please contact Amy Martin at While it seems early, artists need a lot of creative time so this is an early heads-up.
More information on the Santa Paws Festival will be coming in the next few months.
