A bit of a intellectual dive into studies on the pace of change, followed by powerful and challenging words about the parable of the Good Samaritan, and then your Moment of Zen...

This isn't necessarily a deep spiritual reflection as much as it is a deep look at the pace of change and the assumptions we make about the pace of change. It is from Ryan Burge's Graphs About Religion site (which I cannot recommend highly enough). While he's reflecting on wide-scale change, this is also something that speaks to the micro-scale changes in individual congregations - and even in ourselves as well.

This is from CAC's week about Reading the Bible Through the Lens of Love. In a shared reflection on the Parable of the Good Samaritan Jacqui Lewis and Jonathan Walton share some challenging and powerful reflections upon how we not only hear but also live out this teaching of Jesus.

Waves of Energy and Light - Your Moment of Zen...

I videoed this moment at Glenwood Gardens on Thursday morning. It is out of focus if you make it full screen (iphone didn't like focusing on this giant spider web) but you can still get a sense of what I was lucky enough to see in person. This spiderweb was at least 2' in diameter and was beautifully reflecting the morning sun as the gentle breeze moved the web. Magical and beautiful.
