SPEF Accepting Applications for 20th Parent Leadership Training Institute

Stamford Public Education Foundation is currently accepting applications for Stamford's 20th Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI).

PLTI is a 20-week program that builds advocacy skills through a community-building retreat and courses in community and personal development, leadership, and civics.

Participants practice communication, public speaking, and media advocacy skills; learn about budgets, policies and laws that effect children; learn how to work within political systems; and complete a culminating community project.

Parents who complete PLTI emerge as strong leaders and advocates for all children.

Only 20-25 individuals are selected for this program. Participants are selected from a pool of diverse applicants. There is no charge to participate in PLTI. Classes run one a week from 6 to 9 pm. Childcare and transportation are available as needed.

For any questions, contact: Regan Allan, PLTI Coordinator 203-965-7733 or rallan@spefct.org .
