Return to Learn Reopening Form
Stamford Public Schools is asking families to complete the Return to Learn Reopening Form as soon as possible. Completing this form will help school administrators plan for the upcoming school year.

This form asks families to choose one of the following learning models for each of their children:

Hybrid Model (in-person every other day)

The Stamford Public School District will open under a Hybrid Model. The Hybrid Model in Stamford means that a reduced number of students will attend school in-person every other day (Blue/Green alternating day schedule).

Distance Teaching and Learning Academy Model (remote learning daily)

Per the Connecticut State Department of Education, Stamford Public Schools must offer families the option to temporarily opt into remote learning. With this learning model, families may decide, for medical or other reasons, not to return to school in-person immediately in the fall. The voluntary Distance Teaching and Learning Academy Model will be implemented as a separate program. Students from around the district will be grouped and assigned a teacher. Families will be expected to supervise and support attendance and engagement in this model.

A separate form must be submitted for each child.

If you have questions regarding the Return to Learn options, please contact your child's school or click here for details. You may also email district personnel with questions.

School Supply Lists for Grades K-5

Stillmeadow teachers have created grade-level school supply lists for the upcoming year. If your child will attend Stillmeadow in the fall, please send these supplies to school with your child in September.

Due to COVID-19, students will be prohibited from sharing classroom and art supplies, and additional attention will be paid to cleaning student work areas.

There are three separate supply lists for this year as follows:

  • Personal Art Supplies (K-5 students only)
  • Health & Hygiene Supplies (K-5, TEAM and CORE students)
  • Grade-Specific School Supplies (K-5, TEAM and CORE students)

We understand that providing all of these items may be challenging for families experiencing financial hardship and ask that you send whatever you can. Conversely, if you can purchase extra supplies, we would appreciate your support to ensure all students have the materials they need for the upcoming year.

Message from Miss Austin

Please see below for a special message from art teacher Kellie Austin (now Mrs. Austin-Panaroni).
Dear Stillmeadow Parents-

I hope that you are all healthy, safe and happy during these uncertain times. It is with a heavy heart that I wanted to share with you that I will not be returning to Stillmeadow this upcoming school year.

Ever since I was five years old, I have wanted to be an Art teacher. For the past six years, your children have made my dream job absolutely wonderful. They have brought me such joy and I am honored to have taught them. Although I was their teacher, it is your children with whom I feel I have learned the most from. My hope is that I was able to impact your child's life for the better. My Stillmeadow kids will forever hold a special place in my heart.

May this new school year bring lots of happiness and wonderful life lessons. Please stay in touch. You all have made teaching at Stillmeadow an incredible experience.

Xo,

Mrs. Kellie Austin-Panaroni
Summer Reading Assignments for Grades 1-5

The assigned books for each grade level are available to borrow from the Ferguson Library (all branches) or may be purchased at Barnes & Noble or Amazon.

Students are expected to turn in their reading assignments when school begins in the fall. Projects will be reviewed by classroom teachers or Mrs. Nathanson.
