Join Stillmeadow Staff for Daily Read-Aloud Sessions in Google Hangouts

Stillmeadow staff will offer daily read-aloud sessions using Google Hangouts. The read-aloud sessions begin tomorrow. There will be two sessions each day at 10 am (picture book) and 1 pm (chapter book). The first chapter book will be The Year of Billy Miller .

To participate, you must join the Stillmeadow Read Aloud Google Classroom and access the read aloud using Google Hangouts via Google Calendar.

At Home Learning Plans & Digital Resources for K-5

Stillmeadow students are expected to complete assignments from home while school buildings are closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Please refer to the information below to assist students with at home learning:
At Home Learning Plans:

  • Grade level learning plans for K-5 are posted on the Stillmeadow Website. (Hard copies of these learning plans were sent home in your child's folder on Thursday afternoon.)

  • Art, Music, and Media learning plans from Miss Austin, Ms. Dugan, Mr. Bodofky, Mr. Farfone, Mr. Stec and Mrs. Nathanson are available online or may be downloaded here.

  • A guide to daily Physical Education Activities from Ms. Anker and Miss Paolino is available online or may be downloaded here.

  • Students in Grades 3-5 also should check their Google Classroom for daily assignments/communication with their classroom teacher.
Access to Stillmeadow's Digital Resources

Students will need to access Stillmeadow's Digital Resources to complete some assignments outlined in the learning plans. Digital resources may be accessed through Stillmeadow's Follett Destiny site.

To access Stillmeadow's Follett Destiny site, follow these steps:

1. From the Stillmeadow Homepage , click the Media Center button on the left:

3. Click on the drop down menu in the top left corner:

5. Choose the program* you want to access from the Follett Destiny menu:

Lifetouch Spring Picture Day :
  • If you ordered photos online, Lifetouch will process refunds.
  • If you submitted a paper order form with payment, it will be returned to you when school reopens.

Grab and Go Student Meals Available at Stillmeadow

Stamford Public Schools is providing free grab and go meals at Stillmeadow and other locations throughout the district on weekdays from 10 am to 12 pm. Anyone 18 years-old or younger can stop by to pick up a meal.
Ferguson Library Closed Until March 30; Extensive Online Resources Available to Cardholders

The Ferguson Library is closed to visitors until March 30, but families have numerous options for utilizing library resources remotely as follows:

  • Cardholders may request to have books on hold mailed to them. Under limited circumstances, library staff may also be able to select and mail books to at-risk or isolated individuals. Call (203) 351-8261 to inquire about these services.
  • The Ferguson has a large collection of ebooks, eaudio and streaming movies available. Click here to learn how to access these materials.
  • Get free online homework help with
  • The Ferguson's research databases, including Newsbank, are available online.
  • Library cards with fines have been unblocked so everyone can access materials from home.
