                         Today's Presentation: Stockings for Kids

Our speaker today was Mary Meador. Last year Stockings 4 Kids provided 2,500 beautiful filled Christmas stockings to less fortunate children right here in our own community. This nonprofit was   founded 11 years ago by Lee Knapp. Stockings for Kids works in partnership with United Way where Mary comes in. She works closely  with Lee to manage this project. "Elves," a.k.a. local kids will be stuffing 4,000 stockings this year for children less fortunate. The young volunteers  actually have the opportunity to experience the loving feeling of making a difference for another child. Each stocking contains 15 toys. This will be the biggest year ever.  To make Christmas merry and bright, one way to help reach is to sponsor a stocking or several stockings.  For more information call Mary 239-433-7206  MaryM@UnitedWayLee.org visit  http://stockings4kids.com  or contact Lee
