Safety Conference Keynote Announced
Debi Balog
Director, Workforce Development

JARI and members of the JARI Safety Industry Partnership are pleased to announce that the keynote presentation for the 16th Annual Alleghenies Regional Safety Conference will be an Active Shooter Simulation training.

Bob Fatula, Director of Training/Threat Preparedness at Gittings Security will provide a unique training in which a live simulation of an active shooter is performed. The simulation allows the audience members to:
  • Hear what a gun sounds like being fired at proximity
  • Smell the aftermath of a weapon being fired
  • See the reactions of those around them
  • Feel the anxiety of a traumatic situation

This simulation allows the audience members to “train their brain” for proper response if ever involved in an Active Shooter scenario.
The conference will be held on Tuesday, October 2 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm at the Frank J. Pasquerilla Conference Center located in downtown Johnstown.
