Lving Stones, turning over a new rock!

Proverbs 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the sinner's wealth is laid up for the righteous.

Hello Everyone!

We are rushing around, or just sitting down for hours on end preparing our sermons and taking care of emails and agendas of all the stuff that will be going on at the Ranch during our trip to Asia. We will be spending several weeks in Singapore and also 2 weeks in India. The 31st of October until the 10th of November we will be in India. I will be sharing at 2 leader's seminars, preaching 6 services in each. Please pray for the Word to be fruitful and for our safety.

Also celebrating Ashley's 60th Birthday on October 5th in Singapore

Recently we were invited to celebrate the 100th birthday with the Wayne Myers family and ministry In Mexico City. He is a deeply respected mentor, professor and friend to both of us. He also donated 100% of the funds to buy the house for the training center in Maués! We then raised the money to do the ongoing remodeling and renovation. The kids at the center sent a very nice video in gratitude and celebration of his 75 years of service as a missionary in Mexico and 100th Birthday.

During the party I was asked to present him with an engraving and mounted American flag and honor him for his 6 years of service during WWII on the USS Enterprise as an aviation mechanic! If was truly an honor and a privilege! He had just finished sharing for 40 minutes and a considerable amount of his stories were about the miracles that saved their lives on that vessel because of the prayers of the believer during WWII starting from pearl harbor.

The Saturday day camp "Expedition Knowledge" has been doing very well with a lot of parents coming as well to supervise their young children! That gives us the honor to also share the gospel with the adults! Last Saturday there was 32 kids and 21 adults!

I love it so much because we get immediate feedback from both the kids and the parents wanting to come back and do it again!

It's quite a day crammed into just 3.5 hours or less!

A Stone Foundation.

Every month we invest thousands into the lives of these children impacting them for eternity. We are now praying and looking into establishing a foundation and trust fund called "Stone Foundation" to continue the long-term vision of “Living Stones Ranch” for future generations of children. Not just in Brazil but the missionaries we support and their children around the world. No child should go uneducated because their parents gave their life to the calling of God.

If you have any advice, tips, directions, wisdom to share on this subject please contact us. This is definitely turning over a new stone for us!

This is not a black and white or color edited photo. It hasn't rained for 5 months. Not even a drop, that I am aware of! We have had fires so bad the horizon is just a fog of smoke and deep orange sunsets. One fire I was going to help put out with our equipment but I never made it to the site! Save that story for later!

The youth ministry in Maués is doing good and growing. It's fun watching all the children grow up and now help with ministry over the last 15 years!

In Manaus we bought the land for the Safe Way community center and now we are hoping to start building next year! Blue prints are on the drawing table. In the new building we can double the kids and families reached to 240 kids and 140 families!

Missionary Sabbaticals

Every month, if not every weekend we have pastors and missionaries here at the ranch who desperately needed a break! All that come tell their friends and ministry leaders so the numbers are growing and we are running out of space for couples!

Youth Detention Center

Some of our weekend KARE camps are kids from foster care and prisons (youth detention centers). This group just came and said they never wanted to leave and only ask when can they visit again! Here they were awarded for finishing their basic English-speaking course!

Every kid is important and individualy blessed!

Every child has someone praying for them and is given a personal letter inside a hand made card from their prayer partner. Even getting a voice recording of what the person has to say to encourage them after they prayed for them for a week!

Logistics for a handful of kids?!

Every 2 children have a security guard and a psychologist to accompany them. 2 kids couldn't come at the last minute so we have extras as well! Plus our workers. And the kids absolutely love it!

Our Core Team

This is our core team that coordinates the KARE camps. The couple on the far left next to us are the ministry founders of LAMALMA. Then everyone else are volunteers that come as often as they can.

Back to the Amazon

This is Velozes (Velocity)with a 250 hp cummins deisel, in her better days when she was new!

Velozez

She has a bathroom, kitchen and seats 11 people with a good amount of cargo space as well. The problem is she had some hidden window leaks that caused the interior to have mold, mildew, and rot problems we had to gut the whole inside. We have a new region we want to reach that requires staying out for a week to 10 days at a time. She needs to be remodeled to be up to the task and have a few upgrades that will make her more efficient and also have a more functional role in the ministry to go up the smaller rivers. Please pray with us as we decide how to go forward with this next step of growth. Our smaller boat also needs a new engine after nearly 10 years of use it is no longer reliable to take out on long distance runs but we don’t have an option at the moment. Velozez is fuel efficient, fast, good cargo capacity and can carry a good team to for away places!

Yea... that fire ... what a trip...

In short, the trailer hitch neck snapped in half and the complete unit flipped and rolled basically damaging a lot of stuff; some beyond repair. The motor and pump are already being repaired and I already have anothe, better, water tank. Other equipemnt will have to undergo major repairs and be rebuilt to work again. So we will rebuild it lighter, better, stronger!

kids learning there is more to life than the slums! And Missionaries learning it takes a lot to finish the race; including a time to rest, recharge, and spend some time loving your kids with more than words!!

In Mexico City for the 100 year celebration. Someday we'll get there!

Define faith!

100% confidence in the rope and the guy on the other end!

Sylvester doing his part to put a smiling face on the kids!.

S.I.M. (Sudan Inland Mission) is now one of our regulars here from their base in Belo Horizonte! Here are several missionaries together at the Ranch over dinner telling stories and sharing of the faithful works God is doing!

May the Lord Bless you and Keep you!

Sincerely

Paul Perry
