Dr. Neil Nedley: Adventist Community Church of Vancouver is pleased to welcome Dr. Neil Nedley on September 10th and 11th. He will present on the topic of coping with anxiety and depression and healing your brain. Dr Nedley is medical director and founder of Nedley Depression and Anxiety Recovery Programs at Weimar Institute. Please invite your friends and neighbors. Save the date! PAA Scholarship Fundraiser Live Stream, Oct. 31
PAA will hold its annual student scholarship (PAASS) fundraising event via live stream on Sunday, Oct. 31, 6-7 p.m. Instead of holding an auction this year, the “Fall Celebration” will highlight the PAA mission with inspiring conversations with a current student, teacher and alumni, with an opportunity to give to support student scholarships. PAA Substitute Teachers Needed!
Portland Adventist Academy is looking for responsible substitute teachers for the coming school year. Subs work with friendly and energetic high school students. Teacher’s provide all material so all you have to do is be present and follow instructions. No college degree is necessary but you must be 21 or older. Goods Pricer: Part-time, $16/hr, 24 hours per week. Research and price donated items before they go out to the store. Training provided.
Thrift Store Assistant Manager: Part-Time, $18.50-$20/hr, 25 hours per week. Reports to the Thrift Store Manager and helps lead the thrift store team.

SDA CHURCH MEMBERS IN SOUTHWEST MADAGASCAR
Members are currently experiencing severe drought and famine in addition to the Corona Virus pandemic. In response, you can provide food to those in desperate need. We have been told that some members eat mud, roots, and leaves to try and remove hunger cramps.
As a member of the Adventist family, you can feed a family of four for one month for $50, providing vital rice, beans, oil, and other essential food. The neediness of these families is serious. Your gift is crucial today, and we will send funds as soon as we receive them.
There are eleven churches scattered around the affected area with 494 families and over 1,691 individuals. Even though some food aid was collected and distributed in November 2020, the drought has continued, and that food is now used up.
