God Gives Power to Bear Every Trial
By Ellen G. White, My Life Today, March 31, p. 94
"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
-- 1 Corinthians 10:13
Christ will never abandon the soul for whom He has died. The soul may leave Him, and be overwhelmed with temptation; but Christ can never turn from one for whom He has paid the ransom of His own life. Could our spiritual vision be quickened, we should see souls bowed under oppression and burdened with grief, pressed as a cart beneath sheaves, and ready to die in discouragement. We should see angels flying swiftly to aid these tempted ones, who are standing as on the brink of a precipice. The angels from heaven force back the hosts of evil that encompass these souls, and guide them to plant their feet on the sure foundation. The battles waging between the two armies are as real as those fought by the armies of this world, and on the issue of the spiritual conflict eternal destinies depend.
We are coming to the crisis. Let us stand the test manfully, grasping the hand of Infinite Power. God will work for us. We have only to live one day at a time, and if we get acquainted with God, He will give us strength for what is coming tomorrow, grace sufficient for each day, and every day will find its own victories, just as it finds its trials. We shall have the power of the Highest with us, for we shall be clad with the armor of Christ's righteousness. We have the same God that has worked for His people in ages past. Jesus stands by our side, and shall we falter?—No, as the trials come, the power of God will come with them. God will help us to stand in faith on His Word, and when we are united, He will work with special power in our behalf.

Happy Friday and Preparation Day! As we draw close to the Sabbath hours, let us reflect on the following:
"Before the Sabbath begins, the mind as well as the body should be withdrawn from worldly business. God has set His Sabbath at the end of the six working days, that men may stop and consider what they have gained during the week in preparation for the pure kingdom..." -- Testimonies to the Church, Vol, 6, p. 356

Camas/Vancouver Bible Study Small Group: We are starting a new study topic in our small group. We will study the book of Acts. We concluded our study of Luke with the main theme of "The Kingdom of Heaven is Now" meaning you can experience Heaven on Earth. You can transcend the circumstances of this life and have the Mind of Christ, partake of the Divine nature now, dead to the world, alive in Christ Jesus. So we thought it would be great to see how this experience was lived out in the Apostolic church. Come and join us 6:30 pm each Wednesday. Read a few chapters for next week's study, we will do an introduction/background of this book and dive into our study. Contact Elder Bradley Nunn with questions at 360-833-8480.

FINAL EMPIRE, AUGUST 25-28
|
|
The United States is the wealthiest, most powerful nation that has ever existed—and its rise was no accident. It was formed out of hundreds of specific events that started over 3,000 years before the adoption of the U.S. Constitution. But today, is the strength of this nation eroding? Did the Bible see it coming? Will America be history’s final empire?
Join Shawn Boonstra in exploring the annals of history to discover the tapestry of events woven together to construct a brand-new empire. Uncover the true reason Columbus set sail into uncharted waters, how the fall of Constantinople set the stage for the founding of the United States hundreds of years before its inception, and see the Bible’s specific warnings for the state of this nation today. You’ll see the evidence that America is a country founded on the principle of religious liberty—and learn what the nation needs to do to maintain its freedoms today.
