Take a Life-changing Virtual Dementia Tour

A twelve-minute simulation, known as the Virtual Dementia Tour, takes participants on an eye-opening journey to see what it’s like to live with dementia and is offered free of charge by Stoney River Marshfield , 1609 W. St. Joseph Ave., Marshfield, WI.

“This powerful experience helps caregivers, family and friends understand the limitations that their loved ones with Alzheimer’s face and how to replace frustration and resentment with empathy and understanding,” said Lifestyle Specialist Sarah Krenn. She recommends the training for caregivers as well as first responders, police officers, fire fighters, healthcare workers and anyone curious to learn more about how to interact with people with dementia for better outcomes.

Adventures of a Lifelong Traveler
Back in 1964, Aileen Tyson fondly recalls the time when she and her husband loaded their six kids into a VW bus equipped for camping and headed out to see America. Aileen, an Azpira Place of Lake Zurich resident, was born into a traveling family and accumulated a lifetime of memories, which she often revisits.
