Oppression, whether in the home, in communities, or in systems, has its root in the desire to gain and maintain power and control over others. That is the foundation of abuse of all kinds.
For more than 30 years, The Retreat has promoted peace, respect and connectedness. We believe that it is only together that we will end the cycle of violence and oppression.
Our services include a 24/7 domestic violence crisis hotline, individual and group counseling, legal advocacy, a residential shelter for adults and children, and violence prevention and education programs for children, teenagers and adults, taught in local schools and community-wide. All services are free and confidential.
Right now, we want you to be part part of the solution. Spread awareness and education. Donate to keep our programs free and accessible. Perhaps most importantly, listen to help a friend who is being abused.
Join us on June 13 for our Virtual All Against Abuse Gala. Come lend your voice as we address the issues right here in our local community and celebrate those who have stood up to end the cycle of violence.
Tickets are free, but you must be registered.
