Not Sure If That DocuSign Email Is Legit?

Greetings!

You're already careful with your personal information—but as cybercriminals get more sophisticated, we want to help equip you with the tools to stay one step ahead. When it comes to electronic documents, especially those sent via DocuSign, here are two simple but effective ways to protect yourself:

1. Access DocuSign Documents Cautiously

Instead of clicking the link in an email, go directly to www.docusign.com and select “Access Documents” from the top-right menu. (See image below where it's circled in red.)

Then, in your email from DocuSign, scroll to the bottom and locate the section titled “Alternate Signing Method.” There, you’ll find an access code. Copy that code and paste it into the field on the DocuSign website (see image below) to securely access your document—without risking a malicious link.

2. Use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Protecting your email account is essential, especially since so much sensitive information flows through it. Enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds a powerful layer of security. With MFA, even if someone obtains your password, they won’t be able to log in without also entering a code sent to your phone or authentication app.

If MFA isn't already set up on your email account, we recommend enabling it and updating your password as part of the process. It’s one of the most effective steps you can take to safeguard your digital life.

Helpful Links:

We’ve included links below for setting up MFA on some major email providers.

As a reminder, we will always separately notify you via email or a phone call when sending any DocuSign request from Fidelity or RIA Innovations. If you're ever unsure whether a document or email is legitimate, don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly by phone or email. We’re here to help.

Sincerely,

Megan, Bleckley, and Cass
