Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----
Our sister, Kathleen Mitchell, has written a lengthy yet very POWERFUL article on the spiritual leprosy infecting the Body of Christ and our nations. I've bolded a few sentences. The key answer is repentance:
“DEALING WITH SPIRITUAL AND SOCIAL LEPROSY IN OUR DAY”
I believe it’s fair to say that all of us are becoming more aware of the filth and of the perversions infusing our world at large. It’s not just the air, the food, the water, the politics, the media, etc., but it’s the souls of humanity that have become polluted. It’s the physical environment, the cultural environment, as well as the spiritual environment that are sick. The Lord created humanity in purity, in innocence, in truth, in wholeness, and in holiness. Simply put, He created us in His image. After the fall into sin, humanity was open to depreciation and defilement, as well as subject to deception and to the wickedness of sin. Where we were to be spotless and in deep communion with the Creator, we became soiled and estranged from Him. Then Yeshua came to the earth. He taught us how to live, and then died, and rose again so that we could be restored, through His sacrifice, to our Father, and to the holiness we were designed to have at our creation. As long as we live in this defile and skewed world, we will be involved in battles against satan’s agendas to keep us from living the reality, and the inheritance, in which we were designed to live. Living in a filthy and diseased world, we are continually in need of being washed in the Lord’s blood, rinsed with living water, and healed from the impact of the world upon our lives. The Lord is the solution to the defilement of this diseased world, but He must be embraced and accepted as that solution, so that the world may be restored and revived.
The Lord set aside the nation of Israel for the world to see the example of how to live in His blessings, and how to be denied those blessing, if rebellion against the way, will, and word of YHVH became the choice. In the book of Numbers 25:1-13 we see one of the examples of this truth. Israel was in rebellion … ignoring the mandates of the Lord and playing the harlot with the surrounding nations and their gods. Where the Lord said “DO NOT”, the people were going ahead and doing it. Where He said do not touch, they were embracing the unclean. Where He said, be set apart, holy unto Me, the people were joining themselves to idolatry, and to the nations and to their false gods. In that time, when the plague of punishment was descending upon the house of Israel, a passionate, holy, wise young Jewish man, named Phineas, arose and responded violently to the offenses being committed against the Lord. He literally skewered a blatantly rebellious Hebrew man, along with his Midianite girlfriend. Some would say that he was overreacting and impulsive ... that he was hypersensitive, outrageously judgmental, or religiously legalistic. The Lord disagreed. In fact, He gave Phineas and everlasting bond of peace before Him for his passionate heart for the Lord and for His holiness in the camp. Our present world would instantly condemn Phineas for being wickedly unfair, biased, unloving, and religiously fanatical. Hummm … I wonder how it is possible for our world to silently ignore the violent murders of infidels by religious Moslems around the world; applying a different standard to them than that which is applied to bible believers.
As I have been considering the lack of passion, obedience, and holiness in the majority of those, who identity themselves with the religions of Christianity and Judaism, I can’t help but see the passion that Islam, and the satanists, have for the word and mandates of Lucifer. I see the western people’s insensitivity to the word of the Lord, and their dullness, or denial, in regard to biblical truth. How could ANY JEW OR CHRISTIAN vote for, or sanction the killing of babies in the womb? How could they agree to euthanasia for the elderly, for the special needs people, or for the mentally and the chronically ill? How could they approve the bending and redefining of male and female determinations, definitions, and identifications … as well as the biblical constructs of what marriage is in the order and definitions of the Creator? The list could go on and on. It was at this point that the Lord pointed out to me the reality of our present day spiritual and social leprosy. Let me expand on that.
We read about leprosy in the bible in both the Tanach and in the New Covenant texts. Leprosy was greatly feared. Those with the disease were shunned and regarded as being totally abhorrent to the society.
Here are some scriptures about this disease and about the people inflicted with it.
Leviticus 13:45-46 "The leprous person who has the disease shall wear torn clothes and let the hair of his head hang loose, and he shall cover his upper lip and cry out, ‘Unclean, unclean.’ He shall remain unclean as long as he has the disease. He is unclean. He shall live alone. His dwelling shall be outside the camp."
Leviticus 14:1-8 The LORD said to Moses, “These are the regulations for any diseased person at the time of their ceremonial cleansing, when they are brought to the priest: The priest is to go outside the camp and examine them. If they have been healed of their defiling skin disease, the priest shall order that two live clean birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop be brought for the person to be cleansed. Then the priest shall order that one of the birds be killed over fresh water in a clay pot. He is then to take the live bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, into the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water. Seven times he shall sprinkle the one to be cleansed of the defiling disease, and then pronounce them clean. After that, he is to release the live bird in the open fields..."
Why these mandates? Why these protocols? We see later in the New Covenant how Yeshua touched the lepers, going beyond the law, because He was the higher authority and the fulfillment of the law for cleansing and redemption. But right now, THE LORD HAS DECLARED THAT WHAT IS LARGELY REFERRED TO AS THE CHURCH IS CURRENTLY LEPROUS IN HIS EYES. I want to take a moment to unpack the aspects of this actual disease, and apply the revelations of it, to our present-day world and society. I realize the biblical definition of leprosy, also included mold on houses, and any form of weeping sore or lesion/disfigurement of the skin. But for right now I want to focus ONLY on the specific disease on the body that Yeshua addressed as those inflicted individuals came to him for healing … crying out “UNCLEAN”.
FACTS ABOUT PHYSICAL LEPROSY: Theses symptoms are not pleasant to consider, but they are important to note, in order to understand the spiritual implications that they present.
**Leprosy is a chronic inflammatory disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium leprae … often thought of as a skin disease, but in reality, it is a disease of the nervous system (the control system for the operation of the Body).
** Leprosy has terrified humanity since ancient times and was reported as early as 600 BC in India, China, and Egypt. In modern times it is called Hansen’s disease. It is less of a threat to human life, but it is still a major health problem in many parts of Africa, Asia, and Latin America. For many centuries, leprosy was considered a curse of God … often associated with sin. Even in ancient times, leprosy did not kill quickly, but neither did it seem to end in its development along the way. Instead, this disease was seen to linger for years, causing the tissues of the body to degenerate; eventually deforming the body. Those, who suffered the disease were shunned, and ostracized to keep the community clean, and to keep the people from having to view the horror of the ugly deterioration … and to avoid having to smell the stench of rotting tissue.
**In fact, leprosy is not easily contracted from one person to another as was historically believed. It develops over time. Leprosy is spread by multiple skin contacts, as well as by droplets spewed from the upper respiratory tracts (such as nasal secretions, or by coughing/sneezing), that are transmitted from person to person. Infection occurs over time from being in close and continual contact. It is important to note that 98% of the people in the human populations have had a sufficient immune system to destroy the pathogen as it randomly encounters the body. (The introduction of the Covid shots, and vaccines, may have sharply reduced that level of defense through the destruction of the natural immune system). If contact with a leper is constant and close, over time, the immune system of the healthy person may become overwhelmed by the constant assault, so that the disease takes root. Note that it is a very slow-moving disease that is cured by a combination of antibiotics and by cleansing protocols of the tissues.
** The symptoms of leprosy start in the skin and in the peripheral nervous system (that is, in nerves outside of the brain and spinal cord). Gradually it spread to other body parts, such as the hands, feet, face, and earlobes. Patients with long term leprosy experience severe disfigurement of the skin and bones … often manifesting in the twisting of the limbs and curling of the fingers to form the characteristic claw hand. Facial changes occur, which include thickening of the outer ear and a collapse of the nose.
**The pathogen of leprosy causes a terrible breakdown of the skin tissues; producing horrific lesions that weep and stink. Leprosy eventually causes serious disfiguration of the face and body … even causing the loss of fingers and toes if left untreated over time.
** Tumor-like growths called lepromas may form on the skin and in the respiratory tract, compromising breathing. The optic nerve may deteriorate leading to blindness.
** AND THIS IS THE KEY POINT: The leprosy bacillus destroys nerve endings that carry pain signals. As a result, the patients with advanced leprosy experience a total loss of physical pain. When these people cannot sense any physical touch or pain, they tend to injure themselves; being unaware of injury caused by an outside agent. The largest number of deformities in lepers develop from the loss of pain sensation due to extensive nerve damage. For instance, inattentive patients be scalded by a cup of boiling water accidently splashed on them, without flinching at all. Reports in India reveal that overnight victims of the disease can awaken in the morning without a finger or toes because while they slept, rats gnawed them off. (I know that is horrific to consider, but that is a significant symptom of the pathology, that has application in the spiritual realm)
I could give you more information about this disease, but I think that is sufficient to make my point. What I want us to consider is the spiritual and moral leprosy that has infected our world … impacting us individually, along with society, the church, and the cultures of the world. We can see the connections as we unpack the condition of our world, in light of this pathology.
So, if the Lord told me that the church … that which is supposed to be His Body … is leprous, what does that mean, and what do we do about that?
Like the proverbial frog, being slowly cooked alive as the water temperature of the pot increases gradually, our world has been invaded by moral and social leprosy while most people haven’t been paying attention. The evil has been increasing slowly for decades, while we didn’t notice. We’ve become desensitized to evil and dull to recognize falsehoods. We can’t feel the pain and the consequences of our sin, because the world endorses, comforts and enables that sin … even rewarding it … so we don’t see that we are bleeding out, being burned, or becoming systemically infected with the encroaching and surrounding darkness. Our spiritual sensitivities and abilities have been rotting away slowly, and being replaced with artificial, non-human technologies that are godless and cold. Our rights of freedom in movement, as well as our ability to actually function in our freedom of speech and in Godly morality and truth … and our ability to freely see clearly … are becoming increasingly impaired.
**We have abortion (in some nations, it is legal up to full term; making it infanticide).
**We have the defilement and perversion of human sexuality. We have unbounded sexual intercourse that breaks the law of the Lord in profound ways. The leprosy of sexual perversion is seen in pedophilia as it is accepted and legalized, in human trafficking, in legalized bestiality, in pre-marital sex as it is now normalized, in homosexual sex as it is socially endorsed and accepted, in educating preschoolers to masturbate themselves and their friends, as has been taught in some public schools across the globe … as seen in drag-queen story hours funded by tax money, in programs, which are currently being endorsed by school boards and community centers (which have the satanic goal of grooming children to have their bodies used sexually by adults, and to skew the gender realities in the minds of the Lord’s little ones.) HOW DID WE GET TO THIS LEVEL OF PERVERSION?
**We have the promoters of delusions making the rules, mores, and laws … such things like choosing your gender or your species … and expecting everyone to buy into the delusions and to support/endorse them … even to codify them.
**We have unbounded tattooing on human bodies … often declaring ownership of the bearer to Satan and to demonic gods. In all this, putting the identity, the sovereignty, and the personhood of individuals up for grabs.
**We have allowed the occult and the utter rebellion of witchcraft to permeate society … even allowing their blasphemous perversions to fill the airwaves on television, being spread all over the internet, filling the bookshelves, and drawing the crowds to the theaters. Books that contain blatant witchcraft are lauded in the schools (sometimes as required reading) and churches, and making it to the best seller lists (example Harry Potter). Pornographic novels also make the best seller lists, even as wicked films receive the honors at awards ceremonies.
**We’ve handed the education of our children over to a godless public system of indoctrination, filled with spiritual, mental, emotional, and moral pathogens. Spoken from the mouths of many ignorant and compromised godless educators, our children have inhaled and became infested by the spewed droplets of leprous lies, perversions, and fantasies taught to them as fact and truth. Then the children are required to take the perversion of truth on board … to embrace them and to affirm them as reality in the answers of their test questions, and in the content of their essays.
**We have allowed the pharm companies to convince us that healing must come through them and their made-made products and strategies, so that people are now dependent upon witchcraft for hope and healing.
**We have festivals to pagan deities exalted and promoted by public funds, while evangelical church gatherings are often decried, protested, fined, and cancelled.
**Lawlessness abounds to the point that what is illegal is championed as legal, and law enforcement officers are being doxed and attacked if they refuse to enforce the wickedness.
**We have allowed the repeated touch and influence of leprous replacement theology and anti-Semitism to go unchallenged in the faith communities, in universities, and in governments, etc. Israel is decried and condemned … never allowed to win, or to be acknowledged as legitimate, or righteous in any of her actions. Even the church and many secular Jews (and some ultra-orthodox rabbis) are declaring that Israel is illegally occupying the land of Israel … and demanding that Israel submit to the will of the terrorists, and to create a Palestinian State, as demanded by the nations (through leprous institutions like the UN)
**We have laws that strip authority, influence, and credibility away from Godly parents … laws which even may assert the state’s right to remove children from the homes of Godly parents, to put the children in more culturally-approved, state-controlled, leprous environments.
**We have polluted food supplies because of genetic meddling of the Lord’s created provision for us. We didn’t demand the maintenance and standards of purity and Godly order in our physical sustenance. Species have been mixed and poisons have been added, while we ignored the changes.
**We have allowed damnable and deadly species mixing … genetic mixing in vaccines (humanized mouse cells, monkey cells, etc.) and the additives of aborted baby cells in flavoring for our food. DO SOME RESEARCH OF THE HEK CELL LINES
**We have allowed our bodies to be invaded by that which is leprous … injected and fed substances that seek to weaken, or to addict, humanity… even seeking to trans-humanize us by altering our God-given DNA; substituting foreign DNA and digital systems into our genetic code. We have blindly allowed lipid nano particles, graphene oxide, and digital elements into our bodies, to connect our lives to the internet, and to the cyber world for monitoring, and manipulation. Our cell phones and computers have so captured our hearts and operations in daily life, that they can now totally monitor what we say, where we go, and what we do. Were we aware of the trap they were setting through the second heaven technology of the internet? … the NET to capture the lives of humanity like schools of blind fish?
**We have allowed the destruction of our air and water through chemicals and poisons being sprayed by drones and planes in order the alter the created order of the Lord … to darken the skies, to alter the perfect ratio of CO2 and O2 on our planet; curtaining the natural order of photosynthesis to sustain life on earth … and all to prosper lies about climate change. Protecting Mother Earth has become the priority over protecting human beings.
There is so much more, but we know that these things didn’t just appear suddenly on their own. They were introduced gradually by deluded, demonized, and deceived people in high places. Their programs and values were propagandized into our thinking through the media … and even endorsed through the pulpits, so that we would become dull and not notice the slow shift toward the darkness and rebellion against God. The tolerant fluffy Jesus, and the false doctrines of accommodation and WOKEISM have infiltrated to the highest level. The morality and values of the society have become crooked and deformed away from righteousness. And the result is social and spiritual leprosy everywhere.
So, let’s apply the course, and the development, of the disease of leprosy to these things:
--We have tolerated the constant, up-close, contact with that which is sick, and altered; moving us away from spiritual and social health. We’ve become infected.
--We have inhaled the lies, so that now it is harder to breathe in the truth, and to muster the strength to apply our voices and life breath, to speak out against them.
--We allowed sick leprous people to lead in every position of power. We touched what they delivered to us (examples: the free benefit checks during COVID, Facebook connection, the immediate answers of Ai … of Alexa and Siri). We blindly took on board the pathogens that they spoke forth … especially if they seemed to benefit us, or the culture in some way.
--We allowed our God-given spiritual immune systems (established in the Word of scripture and in the Holy Spirit) to become compromised by failing reject that which is leprous … by failing to embrace, and failing to declare the truth of the Lord’s word … and failing to live the content of that Word without apology or compromise. We allowed the script of the world’s evil and perversions to shut down our natural spiritual immune system against evil, by accepting the scheduled, annual, cultural vaccinations of lies and perverse changes … believing that they were OK.
--We anesthetized ourselves (so that we could no longer be sensitive in the Spirit) through our engagement with dark entertainment, sports, fantasies, indulgences which all contained the droplets of the pathogen of leprosy and rebellion … so that we lost our moral/spiritual nerve sensitivity (our discernment), which would tell us what not to touch or what we should not accept as fact or believe. We lost our acuity of vision. Our spiritual optic nerves lost function, so that blindness set it.
--Our families started to become disfigured. Our relationships started to suffer because truth was no longer a priority, nor was genuine love. Walking straight was harder because of the reality and truth-twisting that was occurring. Emotions ruled over reason and fact, to the point that we could no longer walk, stand, or fight from a Kingdom-correct posture.
--Sometimes we shunned those, who we viewed as lepers, when they were simply lost people. We didn’t go after the vulnerable to help them recover the truth and the life that the Lord designed for them. We believed that the sinners might infect us, so we stayed away from them, rather than reaching out with the gospel and going to the leper colonies to bring the truth and the healing power of the Messiah’s blood. We didn’t discern the difference of the call of the Lord to go after the ignorantly lost, from the call of the Lord to stand back from the intentionally wicked.
--We often buffered the God-given pain of consequences, which were falling upon people in rebellion, to keep those individuals comfortable, and to assure our continuing favor in their eyes. Without the consequential pain, the sinners never know the danger they are in eternally and presently. NOTE: Lepers wish that they could feel pain. It would keep them safe and would keep them from greater losses. We believed that rescuing and comforting the sinners, while they continue in their sin, to be a compassionate and Godly act. It fact it is unloving to allow the leprosy to grow. They can’t realize the true danger they are in, unless the Lord gives them a measure of pain to course-correct them. The absence of pain and the lack of consequence for sin, are not necessarily a good/loving thing. They can be deadly.
--While we have been sleeping in the advancing darkness, the rats have been gnawing away the health and function of the community of Biblical faith. Our fingers and hands of blessing and healing have become diminished as the leprosy afflicting us advances. Without toes to balance us, it’s difficult to walk, let alone to run the race set before us. Many have become blind and insensitive to perversions and to evil.
As we go through this difficult time of war, chaos, betrayal and downfall, perhaps we need to feel the pain of it as a society. The consequences may awaken many, so that they will cry out in the understanding of where they are, and how much they need the antidote. The course of this social, spiritual, and societal leprosy has been slow in developing until now, The fruit … the consequences of the disease … are now upon us. We must respond.
In biblical times, the lepers had to go around shouting UNCLEAN, as they passed through a populated area. It was an alert that the disease was present in their midst. The solution for us now is to cry out in our admission before the Lord: “UNCLEAN!” Yes, in many ways we have become unclean before the Lord. Repentance will bring forth the blood and the hyssop branch and the clean water for our sprinkling as a nation, as a society, as a Body, as a family and as individuals. There is no more time to delay. The Lord is ready to heal and to deliver. We don’t need antibiotics for this disease of present-day leprosy in our world. We need the confession and the repentance that will release the sprinkling of holy blood that will again MAKE US CLEAN.
However, we must also come out of Babylon and stop breathing in and touching that which contains the pathogen. We must choose to be holy … to be set apart. Only then we can engage with the afflicted lepers to bring them to healing and deliverance. The Lord will protect us as we restore others. He will be our rear guard as we arise and demand a change in our world. This is YHVH’s plan … for Israel specifically, and for our whole world. May we all have the vision and the passion for holiness and truth … a love for the Lord in the depth and degree that Phineas demonstrated. The world can change, but we must do our part in YHVH’s plan.
In closing: In Yeshua’s time the lepers were called out and identified as such … even by Yeshua, Himself. He didn’t excuse their leprosy, cover it up or ignore it. He confronted it, addressed it, and dealt with it strongly and compassionately, as the lepers cried out in their horrific condition. Too many lepers these days, do see that they are diseased, but are unaware of the cure. The spiritually/morally healthy people are often ostracized and tossed out of the camp, giving the lepers the run of society … spreading their disease by constant contact and spewing perversity and death into the atmosphere. We not only need to recognize the leprosy in our world and environment, but then to have the courage, love, faith, humility, and compassion to address it. Yeshua told the lepers to be clean, but also to live differently. He called them to a reborn life in righteousness and truth. This is our calling as well. The goal is to be made whole in the truth, love and life of Yeshua … not to allow leprosy to prosper, nor the lepers to multiply. May we have the wisdom and the grace to face the leprosy in our world and to bring forth what the Lord has deposited of Himself within us, to cleanse this sick world by the sprinkling of His blood and living water. Reach out and touch someone with the power, holiness, love, and truth of the Kingdom of YHVH! Miracles will occur. Lives will be changed and restored. Our world will come into revival for the glory of our King and His Kingdom. SHALOM!
Matthew 8:2-3: "Suddenly a leper came and knelt before Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed."
