The Immigration Legal Team Hosted a Clinic at Our Norwich Office

The Immigration Legal team recently held a clinic at our satellite office in Norwich, offering expert legal support to the local immigrant community. We worked with Latinos for Education Advocacy and Diversity, (LEAD), to offer guidance to individuals navigating often complicated immigration processes. The clinic provided valuable assistance across a range of legal matters to over 50 community members. We are proud to continue our commitment to serving the Norwich community and look forward to hosting more events in the future!

JFS of Greenwich Partners with King High School for "Empowering Voices" Program

JFS of Greenwich is excited to continue its participation in "Empowering Voices: Migration, Conflict, Resettlement & Testimony" a program at King School. Created by AP History Teacher Lindsey Rossler, this class invites local refugees resettled by JFS to share their stories with students, ensuring their voices are heard and preserved in history.

This powerful collaboration teaches students empathy and interpersonal skills and fosters understanding across race, religion, ethnicity, and nationality.

We thank Ms. Rossler and the students of King School for their ongoing commitment to amplifying the voices of refugees and preserving their stories for future generations.

JFS Attends Hope Day at Arch Street Teen Center

Geoffrey Anderson and Daniela Valdovinos from JFS attended the Town of Greenwich's annual Hope Day at the Arch Street Teen Center, an event aimed at breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting resilience within the community.

The afternoon featured live performances, interactive wellness activities, arts and crafts, and resource tables offering strategies for stress reduction. The event provided a space for individuals of all ages to connect, learn, and access mental health resources. If you are in need of therapy or support, please click here to fill out an intake form.
