Supporting HIS-OC

Thanks to everyone who donated! We raised $19,237 which lifts 8 families out of homelessness with a full six months in the program! This is amazing and HIS-OC is beyond grateful for your your generous support! HIS-OC helps people transition out of homelessness. Families at HIS-OC receive case management, parenting and financial management classes, counseling, food and household supplies, infant needs, hygiene and personal products, onsite laundry and computer lab.

New Study

Begins Next Week!

The Apostle Paul is credited with writing 13 books of the New Testament and with helping to spread early Christianity throughout the Roman Empire, but who WAS Paul? In this series, “The Life of Paul,” we will examine what we can or can’t know about Paul’s life before his conversion to following Jesus, what the New Testament tells us about his life after his conversion, and how Paul’s work on behalf of the gospel helped change his world and shaped our understanding of who Jesus is and what Jesus means for the world. Pastor Jay will lead this 6-week study on Wednesdays, January 11 through February 15 at 3pm in the Fellowship Room, and 7pm in Room 117 of the Life Center. The 7pm session will also be available by Zoom.

New Adult Forum

Begins Sunday

January 15

All are invited to join this discussion group on Sundays at 10am in the Fellowship Room. Partner in Ministry, Jake Bach will lead a new 5-week series as Part 2 in America's Religious History, covering the century from the Second Great Awakening through World War I. Look at noteworthy Radical, Revivalist, Revisionist, and Restorationist leaders and their followers that set the stage for religious life in America as we know it today. Hope to see many of you! Grab coffee and a donut and join in. 

Women's Hike

January 21 at 8am

Join this group's first hike of the year. Begin at the Yorba Linda Community Center at 8am on Saturday, January 21st and take the Cajon Trail for approx. 5+ miles. Plan on a 2-hour time frame to hang-out & chat with new & old friends. Enjoy a cup of coffee at the YL Starbucks across from Messiah after the hike if you wish! If you are already in the Women's Hiking Group you should have received an invitation. Messiah Book Group

Messiah Fine Arts Auditions

Messiah Fine Arts Ministry (MFAM) is excited to present their spring performance of Peter and the Starcatcher on March 24, 25 and 26. The play provides a backstory for the characters of Peter Pan, Mrs. Darling, Tinker Bell and Captain Hook, and serves as a prequel to J. M. Barrie's Peter and Wendy.

Cornerstones Luncheon

Sunday, Feb 5 at 11:30am

Cornerstones is a luncheon for anyone new to Messiah, new to Christianity or anyone wanting a deeper connection and that "next step." We will touch upon the Church doctrine, spiritual gifts and next steps for you as a Partner in Ministry. All are welcome to attend. If you were never confirmed, please feel encouraged to attend and re-affirm your faith. Join us on Sunday, February 5 at 11:30am in the Welcome Center. Child Care is available.
