Partnering for safe and healthy communities.
Thanks to your generosity and a matching donation from the Kansas City Chiefs , we raised more than $55,000 to support our children, families and staff during the COVID-19  crisis! Words cannot express how humbled we are.

The money raised will be used to:
  • give the youth sheltering-in-place at our residential campuses a much-deserved treat — carryout meals — and to furnish them with crafts and learning materials to keep them entertained in their free time.
  • provide protective safety equipment for staff on the front lines, continuing to work directly with youth and community members.
  • purchase technological support to allow us to continue community-based programs and home visits.

Thank you for making all of this possible!

Our team continues to closely follow all safety recommendations to be able to provide critical services to children and families in this time of uncertainty. Read some of our staff's firsthand accounts from the field.
8 Helpful Coping Practices During Isolation

Many of us have found ourselves working from home without our standard routine and scrambling to get back some sense of normalcy. Our trauma-informed team pulled together 8 helpful tips for establishing a routine and developing coping strategies to stay physically and mentally healthy during this disorienting time.
Plant Sale Will Be Online!

Featuring a variety of plants, flowers and herbs, the Thyme for Kids Plant Sale will now be online from April 15 — May 15 with no-contact delivery or curbside pick up! Gardening is a great way to reduce stress and beautify your personal space. Plus, proceeds from the sale support our Build Trybe program, which empowers youth with employable skills in the culinary, construction and horticulture professions. It's a win-win!
Masks Needed!

While a good portion of our staff has been able to transition to working from home, many are still directly caring for youth and other community members. If you or someone you know is making masks (or wants to give it a shot), would you consider donating some for our staff? If so, please contact Sally at sally.cook@cornerstonesofcare.org .
