Dear Dee,
At Homeopaths Without Borders (HWB), our mission is to introduce or advance the understanding and use of homeopathy in areas where it does not yet exist or is minimally available. Together, we are making a profound impact, and the results are inspiring.

Lifeline for Haiti: A Story of Survival and Hope
In the heart of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the struggle for survival is a daily reality. The city's healthcare system has crumbled under the weight of political instability, violence, and overwhelming need. For many Haitians, finding medical care feels impossible. In response to this crisis, HWB launched the Lifeline for Haiti project in partnership with the Association Des Homéopathes Haïtiens (AHH), a critical initiative bringing essential healthcare to those displaced by the ongoing turmoil.
Dr. Linda, from AHH, shared her heart-wrenching insight: "My country’s healthcare system has collapsed. If it weren't for HWB supporting AHH, many, many people would have died of cholera."
When cholera was detected in overcrowded displacement camps, where over 300,000 people live, AHH acted quickly. With the support of HWB, they distributed homeopathic medicines and educated residents on the importance of clean water. What could have been a devastating outbreak was halted. Five months after their initial intervention, no new cases of cholera have been reported in the camps they visited. For the people living there, it was not just healthcare—it was a lifeline.

Supporting Indigenous Communities in Maine
Haiti isn’t the only place where HWB is making a difference. In Maine, we’ve partnered with Nibezun, a nonprofit rooted in Wabanaki culture, to provide free community clinics. These clinics offer much-needed care to Indigenous communities facing their own healthcare shortages.
This partnership is about more than just treatment—it’s about empowerment. Through our training programs, we’re equipping local healers with the knowledge to address acute illnesses, infectious diseases, and trauma. It’s a sustainable solution that will serve the community for years to come. Chelsea Chavaree from the Penobscot Nation remarked: "The knowledge that this course shares will help relieve the long wait to be served by the understaffed local clinic."

Preparing for Future Crises: Disaster Relief Training
In a world where disasters are becoming more frequent, HWB is also focused on empowering local homeopathic groups to respond to emergencies in their own communities. We are developing a comprehensive disaster response handbook and offering in-person training to ensure that homeopathy can be a key part of future relief efforts. This initiative will provide much-needed support in times of crisis and help communities rebuild stronger.
