Who's Ready for 2025 Storm?

We are excited to announce the 2025 Storm Adventure Race will happen on May 24 and 25th, hosted at the Tiffin Centre for Conservation in Utopia, Ontario.

You spoke, we listened: More days, more fun!

We received some feedback from 2024 that many of you wanted Storm to return to a two-day event and we're happy to help and create opportunities for even more adventures! The LONG (4-7 hours) and ADVANCED COURSES (6-9 hours) will take place on Saturday, May 24th. The SHORT (3-5 hours) will take place on Sunday, May 25th.

We hope this helps if racers want to race on one day and volunteer the other day. It also allows experienced racers to take on the long or advanced course Saturday and then race with newer racers on Sunday and help grow the sport!

The other feedback we received from 2024? That perhaps parts of the courses MAY have been a little too hilly and challenging for some. Race Director Bob Miller assures us he's dialling back the difficulty a little, especially for the SHORT course. So no excuses, right?

Location. Location. Location.

Tiffin Centre for Conservation is just SW of Barrie, near Angus and this site offers great access for adventures in the Nottawasaga Valley region. All this, and only an hour North of Toronto.

Unfortunately, there might be slightly less hills than Storm 2024. We hope that's okay.

What's that? Your dream race weekend would be to pitch your tent, hang out with cool adventure people and then do an adventure race (or two)?

We say Follow your Dreams and we can help make them come true:Tiffin Centre has group camping areas onsite that will be available for tenting the weekend for participants and spectators. The cost is $10.80 per person per night, but space will be limited and needs to be booked when you register for the race. The peaceful campgrounds offer plenty of flat ground and grassy areas for tenting. Amenities include; fire pit and stone fireplace/oven, firewood. outhouses, potable water and electricity (no showers). Book your spot and make a weekend of it!

Make 2025 a summer of Adventure

There's no such thing as the offseason for adventure racing. We've been very busy planning not only the 2025 Storm Adventure Race, but also Wilderness Traverse, our longer 30 hour race. For 2025, we're bringing the adventure further north to the Sudbury region. We're also excited that Wilderness Traverse has been chosen as the 2025 Adventure Racing World Series North America Championship. Registration is now open on wildernesstraverse.com.

Here's a plan: find your early season form for Storm in May, then step up to a 30 hour challenge and compete against the top teams in North America.

Get PUMPED!

As you start dreaming of next May, spend some time reflecting on what a GREAT DAY you had at Storm 2024 by reliving it with the race video.

(Maybe fast forward the hills. We won't judge)

You know what you have to do.

Send those emails. Start the team discussions. Keep moving to maintain that fitness base through the winter. And follow-up with those people who said "oh, that looks fun. I'd like to try that sometime". Tell them the time is now and maybe even offer to race with them.

Get your team signed up, starting Friday! We hope you're as excited as we are to get going planning for a great year of adventure in 2025!
