Storm Advisory October, 2019
The Newsletter of Storm the Trent
Dear Storm'ers,

Edition 19 of Storm the Trent has been officially launched, and we are thrilled to announce that it will be hosted at Sir Sam's Ski & Ride! Last year's race gave a taste of these spectacularly beautiful slopes and trails overlooking Eagle Lake, and we are so excited to be returning to explore the surrounding area even further on May 23-24, 2020 (the weekend after Victoria Day).

With the new venue will naturally come all-new race routes for each of the Hike, Trek and Trek Elite courses. With the support of some new landowner partners, we have been able to piece together a racecourse unlike any seen before at Storm the Trent. As we inch ever-closer towards Algonquin Park's southern borders, the terrain starts taking a beautifully dramatic shift, creating a gorgeous backdrop for what will be our most remote and raw course design ever. Bank on some next-level scenery factor for this one!
Registration Now Open!
2020 registration is now open, and as always, early entry discounts are in effect until January 1st. The stormthetrent.com website has been fully updated with all of the 2020 details, but you can also click on each of the course-specific pages via the links below. Distances per-distance for each course are provided for the 2020 event.
Race Category Changes
One key change being implemented for 2020 will be the discontinuation of the solo categories of the race. This was a difficult decision to make, but one that is necessary as the course moves into increasingly more remote areas. We've been very proud to be the one of the few adventure racing options open to soloists over the past 18 years, so please know that it is only in the interest of safety that we are making this change.

We are more than happy to connect regular solo participants with others who may be looking to pair up into teams of 2 or 4. If interested, please feel to get contact us at info@stormevents.ca
