Storm Advisory December, 2019
The Newsletter of Storm the Trent
Dear Storm'ers,

Our very best wishes to all of you for the coming Holiday Season! Although we do have a couple of updates and news-y items to share, the primary purpose of this annual early-December message is always to provide a reminder that the early entry discounts for the coming year's Storm the Trent expire soon.

Registering your team on or before January 1st will allow you to save $10 per racer. Get your team together to sign up today at www.stormthetrent.com and lock yourselves in for the all-new racecourse experience coming at you on May 23-24, from our new race venue at Sir Sam's Ski & Bike!
New Masters Division - UPDATE!
Recently we announced the addition of new masters divisions for all events and team-size categories at Storm the Trent. After hearing what you had to say, we've made a few updates:

  • As announced, the masters divisions are open to teams on which all racers are age 45 years or more

  • This remains an optional choice - you may still race in the regular 'open' categories if you choose

  • Gender sub-categories among masters teams will be offered, but only where there are at least two teams registered per gender class. If there are not 2 or more teams in each masters gender class (all-male, all-female and coed), they will be grouped into a singular masters division for each team-size category (ie. Masters teams of 2 and Masters teams of 4)

Regarding the last point - while our goal is to try and create category opportunities for as many groups as possible, historical data shows that some some would not be filled across all gender classes, age categories and team sizes for all 3 events at STT. However, this new Masters Division will reduce the size of some traditional team categories, and put lots more prizes on the awards table!
