"Where Business and Community Connect Since 1965"
|
|
|
Dear Members,
I hope this message finds you well, either back to work or navigating that path. While very little is normal these days, I have found these past weeks to have provided me with some much needed planning time and space to connect with many of you by phone, email, text, social media and, of course, Zoom. In those precious off-line moments, we’ve come up with a few initiatives that I hope will support you and your organization and bring a much needed sense of familiarity.
To that end, we’re launching our
Virtual Community Showcase
! This summer, our Showcase Committee Chair Tracy Starnes and I will visit Community Showcase sponsors and exhibitors wherever you’re working these days – at your office, home office, mobile office, your favorite park – you name it. We’re bringing cameras (plaques for sponsors) and chamber swag to showcase YOU (six-feet apart) however we can. Let us know the best day and time to
showcase you through this form
, and we’ll head on over. I can’t wait to see you all again!
Regular chamber business continues with
weekly events
and advocacy, like this important
call-to-action from the Ohio Chamber
– let your legislators know about your need for protection against COVID-19 lawsuits; additional details and an easy-to-submit form are available through the link.
New business is developing as well with our new
Advertising Packages
coming to you next week in email. We have launched opportunities to place banner ads on our site, highlight your business in our online directory, and so much more.
While we’ve been busy at home supporting you, we recognize that some things you prefer to do in-person; for the immediate future, our chamber office will be open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 8am-12pm and virtually, five days a week 8a-4p.
Stay well,
Jennifer

OHIO BUREAU OF WORKERS COMPENSATION DEFERRAL:
- Ohio’s Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) system is the exclusive provider of workers’ compensation insurance in Ohio and serves 249,000 public and private employers.
- To help businesses facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ohio BWC is announcing a continuation of premium installment deferrals for June, July and August. At that time, the matter will be reconsidered.
- "BWC will not cancel coverage or assess penalties for amounts not paid because of the coronavirus pandemic," said Lt. Governor Husted. "Installment payments due for the three-month period are totaled at approximately $200 million, and that money will now stay in the economy."
