Appreciation Note Writing

Buddy Classes

Thankful Moments

Today we had our second whole school meeting. Before the meeting, we had our 7th and 8th graders help write thank-you notes to our staff. They all kept it a surprise until today! At today's meeting, they passed them out to thank our amazing teachers and staff.

This week many of our buddy classes were able to get together. Buddy classes are a partnership between a middle school advisory and a lower school homeroom. Sometimes they work on a craft together, play a game, or go for a walk. This puts our older students in a mentor and role model position and helps our younger students to build connections in the school building outside of their classroom.

I'm so thankful for the Strafford School Community! Best wishes for a restful and joy-filled Thanksgiving.

Events

Season’s Greetings Strafford Staff/Community

Do you have a desktop/laptop gathering dust? Do you have a computer that has been neglected and replaced with a new faster computer? Is your computer so old you do not receive Operating System updates? If so, would you consider donating your device to the school? Your old computer has the potential to support a student without a device at home.

Requirement:

  • Manufacture date most devices from 2007 to Current.
  • ChromeOS Flex Certified Models
  • Windows/Mac/Linux
  • Free from functional damages.
  • Ok if battery doesn’t work/hold charge. As long as the device can be powered on.

Your device will be cleared of the current operating system. Then the donated device will be upgraded to Chrome OS Flex. Upon a successful upgrade it will be passed on to a student in need, to keep as a personal learning device. If you are interested in donating a device please email Mr. Pineau

If you have a student at home and would like to have an older computer upgraded for your child please feel free to reach out as well. Our goal is to make home access for all our Strafford Students.
