Volunteering

We love to have families volunteer for chaperoning or to help in the classroom. Please remember that you need to have completed the background check process before you can help out. This means you need to have been fingerprinted and filled out the volunteer registration form. Not only is this a state requirement, it helps to make sure we have covered confidentiality.

Lacrosse Mums

Thank you to everyone who helped raise funds for Lacrosse. A special thanks to Michelle Thomas for organizing!

7/8 Graders

Classroom Spotlight

This Week in Music/Band/Chorus

In music, K-2 are practicing being Tuneful, Beautiful, and Artful through singing, moving, and listening. 3rd and 4th grade are learning to read music and learning new folk dances. 5th and 6th grade are learning the ukulele, and 7th and 8th grade are learning the guitar. Band and chorus are now in full swing! Look out for an elementary concert in the spring, and a band and chorus concert at the end of the year.

This Week in Kindergarten

Mrs. Jacobs' class enjoyed an apple tasting on Tuesday. Everyone voted and created a graph to show results. The overwhelming favorite was Honeycrisp!

Ms. Wilder's class has been learning about apples and did a fun experiment called fizzing apples. They painted their apple papers with a special white mixture. They learned that apples can be red, green, yellow or a mix of those. Then they used the different apple colors and their droppers to make the apple fizz and mix the colors.

Ms. Ham's class met their 5/6 grade buddies this week. Ms. J-Z's class will be supporting them and doing activities together throughout the year.

8th Grade News
