Fifth Third (5/3) Bank is in the process of converting all of their files into electronic records so that reporting to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) can be expedited. With this update, Fifth Third Bank is requiring additional information for trust accounts. You may or may not have received a letter in the mail recently explaining what is needed. With this letter, there is a form that needs to be completed and they are requesting complete trust documents. After corresponding with Fifth Third Bank, we have found that they do not require the full trust document, simply the Certificates of Trust Existence, first three pages of the trust and the signature page of the trust.
Our office is working diligently to answer all of the incoming phone calls and emails from clients to make sure that any of our families with accounts at Fifth Third Bank have the updated information that they need. We will be happy to assist you as well. We will complete the form, prepare the necessary trust pages and fax them into Fifth Third on your behalf for $125. Please call our Trust Funding Center at (616) 361-8255 or email david@davidcarrierlaw.com to schedule your meeting with one of our Trust Funding Paralegals to complete this information.
