GOCSD is pleased to offer this professional development event for educators at the middle and high school level. The session will focus on due process, with specific emphasis on the Fourth Amendment. Participants will receive content material and strategies geared toward both high school and middle school social studies.

About the Presenter:
Crystal Charles has taught at Pierce City High School for the past 13 years, including courses in American Government, The Supreme Court, U.S. History and World Religions. Additionally she is an adjunct professor for Crowder College, teaching Western Civilization to 1600. 

Crystal has worked with the Center for Civic Education as a mentor for the James Madison Legacy Project, and has been a We The People Mentor for the Missouri Bar’s citizenship education program for the past ten years. She has also worked with the Missouri Department of Education in evaluating social studies curriculum.
