Fresh fruit and veggies aren't the only thing coming our way on Saturday. The Easton Twilight Criterium, presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network is bringing some of the fastest cyclists in the world to the streets of downtown Easton on Saturday evening! And since the race requires some road closures, and Larry Holmes Drive serves as the start and finish of this epic event, there will be some logistical changes for the market this week. So here's the scoop:
1.) Come Early! If you want to access the Market Parking Lots, come early! Vehicles will not be able to enter the Market Parking Lots after 11:00 a.m. Those already parked are welcome to stay until the end of the market. We will also allow folks to begin shopping at 8:30 a.m. this week.
2.) FREE GARAGE PARKING Can't come early? No worries! FREE PARKING will be available in both downtown parking garages until 2pm this Saturday. Thank you to the City of Easton for offering free parking for market shoppers. Best part? Your car stays nice and cool!
|
|
3.) Bike to the Market! Leave your car behind this weekend and use our handy Bike Valet. If you show your helmet at the EFM INFO & Merchandise Tent you'll get a $5 token for using your pedal power! And that's not all... Visit the CAT (Coalition for Appropriate Transportation) booth for a free bike safety check. You can pick up trail maps for local trails, and learn about bike classes & programs. Plus kids ages 5-14 can get a free bike helmet if they need one (while supplies last)!
4.) Walk to the Market - If you walk to the Market, we'll give you a FREE insulated market bag so you can easily carry all your delicious goodies! Just tell our INFO tent volunteers that you're a 'walker.'
4.) Pro Tips for navigating the street closures. South Third Street between the Circle and Ferry Street will be closed. *If you're coming from College Hill, Forks or Rte 22 you can access the Market lots or the garages by taking 4th Street to Ferry Street. *Those coming from Southside, Morgan Hill, Rte 78 can just head N. on Third Street to access Ferry or the garages.
