NEIWPCC is seeking abstracts for the Northeast Aquatic Biologists (NAB) Conference, to be held February 4-6, 2026, in Westbrook, Connecticut.
Abstracts are being accepted for the Lake Champlain Research Conference through October 15. The event will be held January 26-27, 2026 in Burlington, Vermont.
The Lake Champlain Basin Program seeks proposals for several projects and programs:
Restore America’s Estuaries announced the third round of funding for the Long Island Sound Community Impact Fund. Up to $1,200,000 in competitive funding will be awarded to support projects in New York and Connecticut in 2026. Submit letters of intent by November 21.

Corrie Miller, environmental analyst, co-authored the Adirondack Council article, The Hidden Impact of Road-Stream Crossings on Ecosystems and Communities.
Emma Shipley, environmental analyst, authored the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) School and Child Care Drinking Water Lead Remediation Policy, Guidelines: Eligibility for and Specifics of Remediation Equipment Funded by RIDOH.
At the National Tanks Conference, Christina Stringer, director of Wastewater and Onsite Programs, moderated the opening session; Environmental Analysts Katerina Peña and Kyla Foley moderated a session titled “Impacts on Financial Responsibility,” and Environmental Analyst James Plummer moderated an UST compliance software solutions workshop.
