NEIWPCC is seeking abstracts for the Northeast Aquatic Biologists (NAB) Conference, to be held February 4-6, 2026, in Westbrook, Connecticut.
Abstracts are being accepted for the Lake Champlain Research Conference through October 15. The event will be held January 26-27, 2026 in Burlington, Vermont.

Meg Modley, environmental analyst and Lake Champlain Basin Program aquatic invasive species management coordinator, was featured on a recent WMHT Public Media video segment to discuss efforts to prevent the spread of round goby, an invasive fish, to Lake Champlain.
Modley and Erin Vennie-Vollrath, environmental analyst and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Lake Champlain Basin coordinator, were interviewed as part of a WAMC Northeast Public Radio article about the impact of invasive water chestnut near Plattsburg, New York.
Daphne Short, environmental analyst, showcased the newly developed Class A and Class B Operator training intended for operators in Indian country at the Tribal Lands and Environment Forum held in Minneapolis.
