Office Manager, Avon Lake UCC

Interim Chaplain - United Church Homes, Canal Fulton
United Church Homes’ Chapel Hill Community in Canal Fulton is seeking a part-time interim chaplain beginning at the end of June. This Life Plan community offers services for older adults across the spectrum of care and appreciates and depends on the leadership of their chaplain. Music Director/Pianist (PT), Clague Road UCC, North Olmsted
Hiring a part-time Music Director, CRUCC is a family style congregation that enjoys a variety of music styles, works to coordinate music, art, faith formation into Sunday worship and the life of the church for adults, children, and youth. Responsibilities include planning services with the minister and worship team leader, directing and accompanying chancel choir, bell choir, hymns, and other music throughout the services.
Aside from Sundays, special holiday services occur throughout the year. The position offers flexibility without a set schedule. A general weekly time commitment necessary to meet expectations will be discussed during interviews.

Summary:
The Christian Education Director will provide leadership and guidance for the church's faith formation program. This will be accomplished through the design and delivery of engaging programming for the youth and young people of the church, and by providing opportunities for faith formation for people of all ages. Some responsibilities include planning and leading Sunday school, overseeing Sunday school volunteers, working alongside the pastor to include the youth in worship, and planning youth activities and events. Facilities Manager, Bethany UCC, Cuyahoga Falls
Summary: Coordinate building/grounds usage by church groups and tenants, including scheduling, building usage agreements, keys, payment, and light room set up. Work with the Property Committee to schedule long-term maintenance, inspections and respond to emergency maintenance.
Skilled in: Working with the public
Understanding basic building maintenance issues
Microsoft Office and Excel (for building use contracts and tracking information)
Google Calendar (for keeping the master calendar)
Physical Ability: Need to be able to lift up to 25 lbs; set up and take down tables
Working Hours: 8-10 hr per week on site; flexible schedule to meet needs of building use

Open Doors, a new ministry for, by, and to the LGBTQIA+ community of Northeast Ohio, has its initial meeting Saturday, June 11, from 4 to 6 p.m. A ministry of Church of the Redeemer United Church of Christ in Westlake and West Park United Church of Christ in Cleveland, Open Doors will meet at West Park UCC, 3909 Rocky River Drive, Cleveland.
The Church has caused harm to LGBTQIA+ people for centuries, failing to reflect God's love for all. Open Doors is here to remind us that we, too, are God's beloved. From music to Christian education, from preaching to fellowship, our time together will focus on issues of faith that are relevant and important to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Volunteers are needed to serve patients at the Hospice Houses, in their own homes, and area nursing homes/assisted living facilities. There are also many virtual and face-to-face opportunities at the newly reopened Medina Inpatient Unit and at Life’s Treasures Thrift Shop. Other opportunities include Veterans Serving Veterans, Attorney, Notary and Licensed Hairdresser. Virtual training series are held every month for new volunteers.
