Since the last two years have changed our world, is it time to revision the ministry of your church, to streamline it and make sure that it is relevant to our days? Come discover why it is vital for a congregation to have a vision and a mission, a purpose and a calling, and how to discover it without spending years to do so. Registration is free.

The last 2 years of COVID have been especially exhausting. Already tired from the hard work of combating church decline, COVID demanded additional work, adaptation and a new way of being church. Come to share, to destress, to learn and meet others for support and care. Lay leaders, church members and non-ordained/non-authorized staff are encouraged to attend. Registration is free.

As a proud sponsor, the Living Water Association invites you to join us and support the City of Akron in celebrating this year's Akron Parks Week. The celebration will take place at Elizabeth Park (40 E Lods St.) Saturday, May 14, from 12-4pm, featuring live music, tree planting, craft and art projects, volunteer opportunities, and more. Food trucks from International Jerk and Jenuine Cuisines will be on-site as well as 4 Bros and a Sis Lemonade Stand. Food and lemonade will be available for purchase. Live music from Red Rose Panic will be showcased on the Showmobile stage from 1-3pm. Admission is free. Bring a chair or a blanket, grab some food, plant a tree and enjoy some live music! Pastor for Youth + Mission, UCC Congregational of Medina

Hours and Salary: Full time with salary and benefits based on education and experience.

Summary: The Pastor for Youth + Mission will have primary responsibility and oversight for the ministries with High School youth and young adults, engaging them in fellowship, worship, mission and faith exploration. The position will also engage the whole congregation in mission and justice ministries. The job description and our local church profile is posted on oppsearch.ucc.org and you can view it here.

Music Director/Pianist (PT), Clague Road UCC, North Olmsted

Hiring a part-time Music Director, CRUCC is a family style congregation that enjoys a variety of music styles, works to coordinate music, art, faith formation into Sunday worship and the life of the church for adults, children, and youth. Responsibilities include planning services with the minister and worship team leader, directing and accompanying chancel choir, bell choir, hymns, and other music throughout the services.

Aside from Sundays, special holiday services occur throughout the year. The position offers flexibility without a set schedule. A general weekly time commitment necessary to meet expectations will be discussed during interviews.

Christian Education Director, Community of Faith UCC, Elyria

Hours and Salary: 10 hours a week, $18,000 annually

Summary:

The Christian Education Director will provide leadership and guidance for the church's faith formation program. This will be accomplished through the design and delivery of engaging programming for the youth and young people of the church, and by providing opportunities for faith formation for people of all ages. Some responsibilities include planning and leading Sunday school, overseeing Sunday school volunteers, working alongside the pastor to include the youth in worship, and planning youth activities and events. Music Director/Pianist (PT),

Congregational UCC, Canton

Congregational UCC in Canton is hiring a part-time Music Director/Pianist. CUCC is a friendly, fun, and progressive congregation that values a variety of music styles and works to coordinate music, art, faith formation, and more into Sunday worship and the life of the church. Responsibilities include planning services together with the pastor, directing choirs and other music groups, and generally enhancing our worship with meaningful, spiritual musical selections and expressions.



Aside from Sundays, special holiday services, and occasional meetings, the position offers a great deal of flexibility without a set schedule. A general weekly time commitment necessary to fulfill the duties of the position will be discussed with the chosen candidate.

Faith Formation Director, Church of the Redeemer UCC, Westlake

15 hours/week, 10 months/year

Church of the Redeemer UCC in Westlake seeks a Faith Formation Director. The Faith Formation Director will provide leadership and guidance for the church's faith formation program. This will be accomplished through the design and delivery of engaging programming and through the active involvement of members of all ages in formational activities.

Facilities Manager, Bethany UCC, Cuyahoga Falls

Summary:  Coordinate building/grounds usage by church groups and tenants, including scheduling, building usage agreements, keys, payment, and light room set up. Work with the Property Committee to schedule long-term maintenance, inspections and respond to emergency maintenance. 

Skilled in: Working with the public

                    Understanding basic building maintenance issues

                    Microsoft Office and Excel (for building use contracts and tracking information)

                    Google Calendar (for keeping the master calendar)

Physical Ability: Need to be able to lift up to 25 lbs; set up and take down tables

Working Hours: 8-10 hr per week on site; flexible schedule to meet needs of building use

Musician, St. Paul's Community Church UCC (Cleveland)

St. Paul’s Community Church UCC is seeking a musician with skills in piano and voice to lead worship on Sundays. St. Paul’s is a progressive urban church in the Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland. Worship is a mix of traditional and contemporary and other styles, and we are seeking a musician with knowledge and interest in diverse musical styles and traditions. Responsibilities would include choosing the music for Sunday in coordination with the Pastor and other musicians, leading a rehearsal once a week, and coordinating with other musicians to provide music for our regular weekly services and occasional special services. Please send resume or any questions to Rev.
