Family Diversity Project Exhibit
Authentic Selves
| | |
Family Diversity Projects (FDP) is an award-winning national nonprofit devoted to eliminating prejudice, stereotyping, and bullying based on sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, race, national origin, religion, and disability through storytelling and photography. Founded in 1995 by Peggy Gillespie and Gigi Kaeser, our mission is simple: challenge ignorance and hatred with education and love.
We believe that telling real stories that highlight the lived experiences of marginalized people with honesty, dignity, and love are among the most powerful ways to encourage empathy and spark dialogue. At a time when censorship and attacks on marginalized communities are escalating, fostering understanding is vital.
Our eight award-winning, traveling photo-text exhibits highlight the experiences of marginalized communities and act as powerful tools that encourage empathy, spark dialogue, and showcase authentic representations. Exhibits can be shipped to venues nationwide: schools (K-12), colleges and universities, houses of worship, libraries, workplaces, museums, state houses, conferences, PFLAG chapters, and more. Contact us for more information or to host a traveling exhibit.
