The Check In held on Tuesday mornings via Zoom will meet only 10 - 11 am beginning the month of June.

Vermillion UCC Offers Grant Funding
The Vermilion UCCC has created the Sunset Shores Outreach Grant Fund to further the vision and mission of our church in the area of outreach. Grants will be awarded through the Fund guided by the mission and vision of the Vermilion United Church of Christ, Congregational.

Two types of grants are available. Large grants are available for charitable organizations serving others in their communities. Smaller grants are awarded throughout the year depending on needs of individual or organization.

1. Communication Coordinator/Information Manager

                 Website/Social Media content update 
                 General copy writing/copy editing
Hours: 10 hrs/week hybrid. Could increase to 22 hrs/week
by adding the General Office Associate tasks.  

2. General Office Associate
Summary: Basic office tasks
Proficient in: Customer service
                 Google Calendar
Basic Skills in: Microsoft Office, gmail
Hours: 12 hrs/week in office 

3. Full-Charge Bookkeeper
Summary: Specific bookkeeping tasks
Hours: Approx. 5 hrs/week.
Software Used: PowerChurch, Microsoft Office Suite

Nursery Coordinator, Olmsted Community Church
Olmsted Community Church is seeking a coordinator for the nursery for Sunday services. The two hour time frame includes supervision of the children of the church (birth to pre-k). The ideal candidate would have knowledge of child development, a minimum three years of experience caring for children, successful completion of a criminal background check, infant/child CPR and first aid training, and ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds. The courses are free thanks to a grant from the Heartland Conference and the support of United Church Homes for members of our congregations and residents in UCH communities.
Each course lists the capacity and once they reach that limit, registration will be closed. So first come, first served.

Some proposed climate policies have been described as false solutions by climate activists and policy analysts because they fall short in meeting the moral demands of science, equity, and justice. Learn what faith communities need to know in this webinar that will feature Leah Stokes, who authored of the acclaimed book Short Circuiting Policy, and Gabriela Sarri-Tobar, who serves the Center for Biological Diversity as the Energy Justice Campaigner. Camp is ON!
Camp is on! The Heartland Conference's Templed Hills Camp is open this summer for youth, families, and adults. We'll offer our annual options (from Choir Camp to Sports Camp and more) as well as opportunities for families and other groups to book time for retreats or group time away in a beautiful natural setting.
