Join Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez, State Senator Adriano Espaillat, Assembly Member Gabriela Rosa and Council Member Mark Levine in Honoring a fallen soldier from our community, Sgt. Jose Enrique Ulloa, on Sunday, March 9th at 12:00 PM

 

Sgt. Ulloa was killed fighting for his country in Baghdad, Iraq in 2005. In honor of his bravery and dedication, 177th St. and Audubon Avenue will be co-named Sgt. Jose Enrique Ulloa Way. 

 

Sgt. Ulloa was a originally assigned to a unit based in Germany until a short-handed unit shipping off to Iraq requested volunteers to join them. Sgt. Ulloa was the only member of the unit to raise his hand. This demonstrated his bravery in the face of danger and his care for his fellow service members.
