On Monday, Sept. 13, the City’s contractor will start the process of removing and replacing the concrete pavement on both sides of the Kansas City Southern Railway Company (KCS) railroad track to improve the crossing on East Buckingham Road, just west of Lavon Drive (SH 78). KCS replaced the railroad track and associated concrete panels at this crossing in late July.
Please take note that various lanes of the roadway will be closed throughout the construction. This process should be completed and fully open to traffic within four weeks from the onset of construction, weather permitting. Please expect traffic delays and seek alternate travel routes to avoid this work zone.
