TAMPA, Fla., - The Hillsborough Transit Authority (HART) and the Gasparilla Music Foundation are excited to announce the return of Streetcar Live after a two-year hiatus!
Experience the unique streetcar concert series this Friday, May 20, 2022, as local jam band Whale Feral performs onboard from 6 PM - 8 PM.
The standalone show is a teaser before a total return of Streetcar Live in September 2022.
The band will board the Streetcar at Centennial Park Station (#1) in historic Ybor City and depart on the 6 PM trip to Downtown Tampa.
"HART is excited to restore some normalcy to our community with the return of Streetcar Live after a long hiatus," said Adelee Marie Le Grand, HART CEO. "We have great partners in the Gasparilla Music Foundation and are happy to provide a unique experience for our customers while showcasing great local musicians."
Concert-goers should arrive early because seating is limited. With a capacity of just 74, the Streetcar provides an intimate and unique musical experience unmatched in Tampa Bay.
"We are so grateful to have this live music series coming back," said David Cox, Executive Director of the Gasparilla Music Foundation. "It is such a fun experience for both locals getting out to explore their city and for visitors getting to see firsthand the vibrancy, history and culture that makes Tampa special. Special thanks to the leadership at HART and the entire Streetcar team for supporting such a unique and memorable concert series."
The monthly mobile concert series is family-friendly and (most importantly) FREE.
Over 45 acts have performed on the TECO Line Streetcar since the series began in 2014.
