Streets of Rogue 2 Unleashes Chaos into Steam Early Access in 2024


The open-world sequel to roguelike indie gem with more than 1M players has conquered more than 150k wishlists with a single tweet

The first trailer for Streets of Rogue 2, from developer Matt Dabrowski in partnership with publisher tinyBuild, premiered last week at the gamescom: Opening Night Live 2023 pre-showcase, along with an “Open World” feature trailer at Future Games Show.

Enjoy the ultimate freedom of choice in a vast open-world with unlimited options for chaos and mayhem. With an endlessly replayable roguelike formula blending RPG and sim elements, each Streets of Rogue 2’s procedurally-generated map is more than 100 times the size of a level from the first game.

Overthrow a corrupt president in solo or multiplayer (local and online) by any means necessary: summon an army of the dead, hire mercenaries, stage a deadly virus outbreak, or bribe blood thirsty vampires to do your bidding. Or ignore the main quest, chill out, and enjoy a tranquil farming lifestyle!

Choose from dozens of character classes with distinct traits and play styles ranging from cops and hackers, to ninjas, gorillas, and scientists. Build a dream life in the countryside, become a quaint farmer, and travel across cities where everything can be destroyed.

Crank up the chaos with a vast arsenal of weapons and gadgets including shrink rays, bear traps, and banana peels, while creating a new brand of mischief in a massive playground where revolutionists can be whoever – and do whatever! – they wish!

About Matt Dabrowski


Matt Dabrowski is the solo game developer behind Streets of Rogue, a breakout indie hit that mixed immersive sim freeform creativity with roguelike and RPG elements. The game went on to sell more than one million copies across all platforms and become one of the staples of the roguelike genre. Matt began his game development journey back in his teen years, creating several pre-Steam indie titles while attending school. Prior to his foray into full-time solo development, Matt had minor roles on high profile franchises like World of Warcraft and SimCity. Following the success of Streets of Rogue, Matt collaborated with publisher tinyBuild to work on the highly anticipated sequel.
