We are pleased to inform you that the Seattle Latino Chamber of Commerce has successfully carried out two important civic engagements designed to strengthen Latino participation in local electoral processes.

In recent weeks, our Chamber organized and led two key spaces for political dialogue, both moderated and hosted by our President, Marcos Wanless, reaffirming our commitment to representation and to providing direct access to information for Latino entrepreneurs and residents across the region.

1. Seattle Mayoral Election Debate

This forum featured candidates Katie Wilson and Mayor Bruce Harrell, who discussed issues essential to the Latino community, including economic development, public safety, housing, access to contracts, inclusion in decision-making, and the future of small businesses in Seattle.

2. Interview with Claudia Balducci, Candidate for King County Executive

The Chamber conducted an exclusive interview with Councilmember Claudia Balducci, candidate for King County Executive. During the conversation, she shared her vision for economic development, strengthening minority-owned businesses, ensuring equity in public contracting, and advancing meaningful Latino representation within county government.

Both engagements underscored the importance of creating opportunities for our community to access clear, direct, and relevant information about those seeking to lead our public institutions.
