Hello Friends and Colleagues,
I am excited to announce the official launch of my new law firm, Fisher Law Practice, P.C., specializing in criminal defense and conflict resolution.
Are you overwhelmed by workplace stress? Do you lose sleep, skip work events or think about changing jobs because you feel angry, hurt or isolated? If so, read on.
Growing up, I watched my mother face constant gender and racial discrimination at work and saw the toll it took on her morale. And over the years as a criminal defense attorney, I’ve seen women, people of color and LGBTQ people marginalized in the workplace. I understand microaggressions and how they can add up to a work experience that feels isolating and hopeless.
But conflict isn’t just a workplace issue. It’s all around us—on our commutes, with our neighbors and even in our homes. Several years ago I witnessed a racially charged New Year’s Eve dispute between neighbors in a rapidly gentrifying area. The criminal defense attorney in me saw where this conflict was headed—to an arrest—and I quickly intervened. Twenty minutes later I’d mediated the issue and both parties went peacefully on their way without handcuffs, without violence and with everyone feeling heard.
Whether you need help coping with an aggressive colleague, resolving a dispute with your nanny or defending yourself in court, I’m here to help. I aspire to bring my clients efficient, peaceful resolutions to their problems. Call or email today to set up a one-on-one coaching session to get to the root of what’s bothering you, visualize your desired outcome and figure out next steps to get there. If mediation is what you seek, we’ll set that up.
I also welcome employers who wish to set up ongoing supports for employees when conflicts arise (a great way to boost morale and retention rates!). Call or email today and we’ll discuss what your company needs.
