Welcoming Our Sisters from Central Alabama

We were delighted to welcome our Girls Inc. sisters from Central Alabama during their recent visit to Georgia! Three of our amazing She Works Summit Mentors had the pleasure of guiding them through an inspiring and unforgettable experience. Their visit included tours of some of Georgia’s top colleges and universities, a behind-the-scenes look at our Atlanta office, and meaningful conversations about collaboration and growth.

To wrap up their visit Atlanta-style, we shared a fun and delicious dinner at The Battery, giving them a taste of our city’s vibrant energy and hospitality. This special time together strengthened the bond between our affiliates and reinforced the power of connection across the Girls Inc. network.

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Janet – Leading with Heart 🌟

This month, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on Janet, one of our incredible volunteer captains for the Mother Daughter Summit!

Janet has been volunteering with Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta since September 2024, and her impact has been felt ever since. When asked why she supports Girls Inc., Janet shared:

“The work you all do for our community is so needed. It gives me so much hope to see the next generation of women being taught to have confidence in themselves and strive for their best. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve these sweet girls.”

Whether she’s helping coordinate volunteers or sharing words of encouragement, Janet brings kindness, energy, and passion to everything she does. Outside of Girls Inc., she loves singing, spending time with her family, and watching Disney movies and musicals—oh, and did we mention she’s ridden an elephant before?

🎉 A huge THANK YOU to Janet for her leadership, dedication, and heart. Volunteers like you make all the difference, and we’re so lucky to have you in our Girls Inc. family!
