- The North State BIA President and CEO,
Michael Strech, anticipates a strong sales finish for this year after seeing October's numbers. "October was the sixth straight month of the sales numbers that were last seen in 2006 or 2007. The North State BIA members have already surpassed the total number of sales in 2018 and we are expecting strong numbers to finish the year."
Strech continued, "This information is coming out less than a week after our Regional Housing Forecast where local market researchers expressed their anticipation for another year of steady growth in 2020. Our members are staying focused and working hard to build the badly-needed homes around the Sacramento region."
A total of 473 new homes were sold during the five-week month of October. The sales were reported in 164 subdivisions in the six-county Greater Sacramento region from Marysville and Yuba City in the north to Galt in the south. In addition, 13,828 people visited active new-home communities last month.
