Nourishing Notes

from the CEO

At the Yuma Community Food Bank, we know that addressing food insecurity takes more than food alone. It takes strong partnerships, shared resources, and a community willing to work together.

One of our priorities is continuing to strengthen relationships with organizations throughout our region so that the neighbors we serve have greater access not only to nutritious food, but also to resources that can help address the challenges they face. By working alongside nonprofits, government agencies, community partners, volunteers, and supporters, we can extend our reach into communities where resources may be limited and connect more people with the help they need.

We also want the Food Bank to be a place where community resources come together. Whether that means hosting partner agencies, creating new opportunities for volunteers, or collaborating with organizations already serving our neighbors, each partnership strengthens our collective ability to address food insecurity.

No single organization can meet every need. But when we connect our strengths, share our resources, and focus together on the areas where we can make the greatest difference, our entire community becomes stronger.

Thank you for continuing to stand with the Yuma Community Food Bank and the neighbors we serve. Together, we are building connections that reach far beyond our warehouse walls.

With sincere gratitude,

Andy Robinson

Connecting our Neighbors to More than Food

In September, the Yuma Community Food Bank opened its doors to community partners to connect local families with resources beyond food assistance. Over two days, neighbors could access support with utility assistance, SNAP, AHCCCS and Marketplace enrollment--all in one convenient location.

Small Change. Big Impact.

Walmart and Sam's Club customers across our community came together through the 2026 Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign, raising $16,960.25 to support the Yuma Community Food Bank. Every donation made at the checkout helped turn small acts of generosity into meaningful support for neighbors facing hunger across

Southwestern Arizona.

Beyond Food: Working Together to Support Our Neighbors

Food insecurity rarely exists in isolation. That's why the Yuma Community Food Bank continues to build relationships with organizations working to address challenges throughout our community. Through participation in the Coalition to End Homelessness, YCFB works alongside local partners to better understand community needs, share resources and help ensure food assistance remains part of a broader network of support.
