The Great American Smokeout (TGAS) takes place on November 20, 2025. People who smoke or vape are encouraged to quit using tobacco products and make today DAY ONE of their quit journey. TGAS also raises awareness about the health risks of tobacco use, the benefits of quitting, and the importance of prevention.

To access free and confidential quit support: adults ages 18 and older can all the CT Quitline at 1-800-QUIT-NOW and talk with a quit coach; and youth ages 13-17 can text "Start My Quit" to 36072 and chat with a quit coach at My Life, My Quit™.

This resource toolkit provides information and materials on the health risks of smoking and vaping, and tips for quitting to help prepare for the event!
