Britepaths is excited to celebrate our 40th Anniversary this year! Celebrating New Opportunities Through Pathfinder Kitchen

We were delighted to join our partners at a press event on January 8 to celebrate the first anniversary of the Fairfax County Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney's Taking Root program, and the announcement of our new Pathfinder Kitchen training program, which will provide support for select Taking Root program participants as they train for culinary careers.

Thanks to a Neighborhood Connected Grant from the Fairfax City Economic Development Authority, Britepaths is partnering with Mackenzie's Tunes & Tonics, Chef Duriel Barnes and OAR NOVA to launch the six-week Pathfinder Kitchen training program in February. Graduates of the program will develop workforce readiness skills and earn a ServSafe Food Handler certification, which will help them build careers while helping local employers to hire and retain dedicated, skilled employees.

On January 11, DWCNV's Jane Barker and Caroline Gergel delivered the final batch of donations so our families can shop for fresh, healthy food this month.
