79th Annual HOMECOMING FESTIVAL Wednesday, July 14th - Saturday, July 17th, 2021

After a year's hiatus due to Covid-19 related restrictions, The Strongsville Chamber of Commerce is excited to sponsor the 79th Annual Homecoming Festival this summer. This huge event, held on the Strongsville Commons from July 14th-17th, promises to be bigger and better than ever. The Homecoming Festival is held annually on the Strongsville Commons, located at the corner of Rt. 42 (Pearl Road) and Rt. 82 (Royalton Road), one of the busiest intersections in Cuyahoga County. A sponsorship of Homecoming is a great opportunity to express your support for our community and advertise your business. We anticipate a large and enthusiastic crowd this year, especially on Saturday when Homecoming concludes with a fireworks display that can be viewed from the Commons. Your company name will be displayed on our full color, state of the art digital sign (for 2 weeks) and on your sponsorship signage displayed during the week of Homecoming. Both display locations are at the Rt. 82 & Rt. 42 intersection.  Your Sponsorship will also include your name listed on our website and in our newsletter. Businesses who submit Homecoming sponsorship by June 1st will have their company name appear on a commemorative Tee shirt that will be worn by Homecoming volunteers. $2000. -- Chamber Scholarship Program -- Due to Covid-19 related restrictions, the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce was unable to host the Holiday Dance in December 2020, which is held annually to raise monies to fund scholarships for graduating Strongsville area Seniors. As a result, the Chamber was not able to offer scholarships this spring to graduating Seniors in the Class of 2021. To provide members of the Class of 2021 with an opportunity to apply for a Chamber scholarship, the Chamber will permit members of the Class of 2021 to submit an application next year along with the graduating Class of 2022. Please check the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce website in January 2022 for the updated scholarship application. www.strongsvillechamber.com

Strongsville City Schools recently announced the promotion of Jessica Frenchik to the position of Instructional Integration Specialist beginning with the 2021-22 school year. Prior to this promotion, Jessica served as a long time advisor to the award winning DECA program, and has taught a variety of Business, Marketing and Computer Technology classes at the High School. Recently, Jessica developed a website that houses resources that align with the District's initiatives to support teacher's professional development and lesson planning. Jessica has served as a Strongsville Chamber of Commerce Trustee since 2019. Congratulations on this well deserved promotion Jessica!
