Strum and Sing with Surette, Shore, & friends!
String Band Symposium and Musical Theatre through the Ages return with new material, starting Wednesday evenings in early February. Missing your musical friends? Never fear -- you'll find them here in these delightful new remote sessions!
String Band Symposium with David Surette runs every other Wednesday, from 5:30-6:30, starting on February 3rd. It is open to all string players, but geared primarily towards guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, and ukulele. Each lesson focuses on a single topic (such as the pentatonic scale, or jig rhythms), with music theory that's useful in a traditional music context. The Zoom chat format allows for interactive questions and discussion, and lessons will be recorded and archived for use by registered students.

Spring dates: 2/3, 2/17, 3/3, 3/17, 3/31, 4/14, 5/5, 5/19

Musical Theatre through the Ages runs every other Wednesday, from 5:30-6:30, starting on February 10th! Join singer and actor Tyler Shore as he explores the history of Musical Theatre, performs representative songs from each era, and demonstrates and explains shifts in vocal technique and style through the decades. You can sing along with Tyler and experiment vocally in the privacy of your home (thanks to the freedom of muted Zoom!). Enjoy the community conversation by sharing your questions and comments throughout on the Chat and in person when everyone convenes for the Q & A at the end of class. Tyler provides materials for additional learning and enjoyment between classes. For teens and adults. Presented in partnership with The Community Players of Concord, NH.

Spring dates: 2/10, 2/24, 3/10, 3/24, 4/7, 4/21, 5/12, 5/26
