A Message from the Vice Chancellor

Hi, Student Affairs team!

What a busy and monumental week we have had so far! On Monday, we celebrated the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; on Tuesday we held the first day of remote classes; and, of course, yesterday was the Presidential Inauguration.

I hope you saw Chancellor Guskiewicz’s message yesterday. He emphasized the University’s role to empower "the next generation of leaders to preserve our democracy.” He specifically referenced our strategic plan — Carolina Next: Innovations for Public Good — and its role in defining how we can promote these values in our students. I know many of us work tirelessly in our roles to support the fifth strategic initiative, which emphasizes our duty to Promote Democracy locally, nationally, and beyond. Thanks to all of you for your work in this area, and in your support of students as the semester gets underway!

Thanks for all you do!
Amy
