Message from the Vice President

Dear Student Affairs Colleagues,

Last week we got to celebrate one of my favorite traditions, UNM Day! Each year students gather to wish our wonderful institution a happy birthday. Since 1889, our institution has grown strong into the flourishing community we see today. It was my honor to lead the crowd in a rendition of Happy Birthday with a very special howl on the final youuuuuu!

I want to offer a special note of gratitude to ASUNM for their excellent work making the day a success as well as the Student Union Building and Student Activities Center teams for their support in ensuring everything went off without a hitch. Happy Birthday to all Lobos!

With appreciation,

Eric

Settler Colonialism and Eating Disorders Beyond Individual Pathology Presentation

Join the Women's Resource Center for this presentation that challenges the traditional narrative that centers eating disorders on white, middle-class individuals. Data shows that Black, Indigenous, and communities of color are equally or more affected, yet face undiagnosed conditions and culturally insensitive treatment. This presentation explores the intersection of eating disorders and social justice, focusing on the experiences of people of color.
